Winners of Aquaculture Europe innovation

Aquaculture Europe (EAS) a multi-disciplinary scientific conference, with an international trade event, and forum for business. With over 2 700 attendees, from 85 countries, with a total of 56 sessions and 1,039 abstracts, EAS , offered a unique opportunity to interact with key investors and decision makers in the industry.

The Aquaculture industry is forecast to triple by 2050. Innovation is therefore fundamental; to help upscale production systems, improve productivity, minimise environmental impact, and all whilst making a profit, to supply the growing demand.

Recognising the important of innovation EAS for the first time ran an innovation forum. A panel of specially selected industry experts chose the most promising pitch for the aquaculture market. Inalve’s biofilm technology was judged as the winning solution for providing the aquaculture market with sustainable protein from microalgae
