Since 2015, only 12 startups have obtained this distinction. With this comes the opportunity for an equity investment of 20 million euros through the investment programme for the future (PIA).
The Innovation 2030 Commission, which selects the candidates in partnership with the General Secretariat for Investment and Bpifrance, recognises the promising potential of inalve in the category; "Development of new food products based on plant proteins and plant bio-chemical projects aimed at developing new materials".
The PIA programme, under the supervision of the General Secretariat for Investment, finances innovative projects that contribute to the transformation of France, sustainable growth and the creation of tomorrow's jobs. These investments are based on a demanding methodology, selective criteria, and policies of co-financing or ROI for the state. With commitments of €20 billion over the period 2021-2025, the PIA's purpose is to promote innovation in all its forms by providing long-term support to the recipients, so that France can strengthen its position in sectors of the future, in competitiveness, ecological transition and economic independence.
